Any one use Airtech P31 release film with prepreg laminates, and if so any known issues or problems?
Whats the resin content of the pre-preg, how many layers and what are your acceptance criteria/application?
If its the one Im thinking on, there can be a lot of bleed-out with p31 due to the hole size. I normally use a more finely pin-pricked film - A2000 P3 as its a roll Ive had for ages. Its pricks are about 12mm apart in one direction 8 in the other and the holes are barely a pin prick, maybe .5mm Im guessing. This can still give a reasonable resin bleed. I think its a good one for pre-pregs we use, anything else and we could bleed out too much
P31 has less holes, and also just a pinprick.
