Lol 100 million dollars for a 40ft diameter autoclave… They should just build an insulated box and sink the part into the ocean, heating the captured water (lol…)
Well ooa prepreg is ftw. U can see the costs of buying an autoclave and also the costs of maintaining autoclave. And theres making prepreg in oven. Like a dream. If u interested to buy cheaper yet highest quality ooa prepreg (impregnated by huntsman epoxy resins) just pm me
ooa prepreg, is there a difference so long as the correct temperature and ramp is used in the oven? Is there a difference in prepregs for “out of autoclave”?
I believe OoA prepregs have other flow characteristics(resin viscosity at certain tempereatures) than autoclave prepregs have. But there are prepregs wich can be used with or without autoclave.
Yeah we supply both autoclave and out of autoclave prepregs. So u dont need to have an expensive autoclave to make prepreg parts. Simply an oven is enough to make prepreg parts.
Yes its important to follow the cure cycle, heating and the ramp on the data sheets per prepreg to achive perfect result. If you have any further info about our ooa prepreg please do not hesitate to contact me or pm. Regards
Yeah OOA pre-pregs can be used OOA or in-autoclave whereas autoclave ones can only be used in autoclave (normally) as they rely on hydrostatic pressure to force air out. OOA pre-pregs flow control is crucial so they remain breathable for long enough prior to gelation to remove trapped air
