Im working with an overseas supplier selling PAN 3k twill. Its a good price. Can anyone talk me out of it?
are they just a weaver, or do they make the carbon too? I would guess they just weave it.
Im guessing they are just a weaver. They are a textiles factory selling pan based carbon fiber in many different combinations of weaves and types.
Im curious if anyone has had issues with the overseas stuff. Im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. So unless im building aircraft parts, why pay for aircraft grade materials when im not building an aircraft grade project.
They are selling for $19 sq meter BTW.
Are you buying large quanities? I wouldnt think you should have a problem finding carbon wooven in the US for around those prices. Perhaps you have been searching for carbon from “hobby sites”? I would suggest contacting Northern Fiberglass. www.nfgsales.com
hmmm i wonder what they charge… share to tell?
Which company are you dealing with? Did they give you a spec sheet on the carbon?
What are you looking for when it comes to carbon? Weight reduction, strength or visual appearance?
