NOOB with a parts question

Hi everyone, new guy here. I’ve never made anything with CF or FG before but I’ve been reading stuff on the side when I can.

I have a piece that I’m having a little trouble in the design and am hoping to get some advice and maybe someone willing to help make it. I have no room to amke anything on my own as of yet.

The piece is an A pillar guage pod. The stock A pillar piece uses a male/female christmas tree type fastener with a “T” head that attaches to the inside of the trim piece. Basically there is no visible attachment points. The new piece that this is being modeled after has to be screwed into the sheetmetal and leaves an exposed screwhead. It is functional but not fashionable.

What I would like to accomplish is to learn how to mold in a stock type attachment point to the new CF piece.

I have pictures available of the pieces I am talking about if they would help.

Thanks for any help.

Mike

this is really classed as a very advanced skill,if you have never even made a fibreglass part before then it may be a little ambitious :?

I figured that it would be out of my league, for now anyway. However, for now, I want to try to know what I’m talking about when I get someone to make it for me.
