No Spray Duratech Primer Advice

This is for vaccum bagged Kevlar/Epoxy layup parts for Formula car skins. In a quest to improve final finish I would like to use the Duratech surfacing primer to eliminate the slight telegraphing of the 7781 glass outer ply. (Yes, I know a lighter out ply would help, I’m using available roll stock.) I don’t have a spray booth and would prefer to roll on a coating of Duratech surfacing primer.
Has anyone done this with good or bad experience ?
Roller type, foam, ?
Prep after application ?

Thanks in advance

Try a felt type roller (apply one way, then 90 degree the next pass to try to get even) but I always spray…
