In the process of a boat build wanting to use carbon instead of glass
Carbon goes over wood
Few questions.
1 seeing that my boat would require a 8’ wide piece of glass to do in one piece not to mention it most likely wont form over hull in one piece.
2.anyway to make nice seems where two pieces of carbon meet?
- Be better to vacume bag vs hand layup?.
Thinking about doing the bottom in one piece then the sides. This leaves a seam at the bow and two where the sides meet the transom. Im using the carbon as a cosmetic layer.The carbon weave will be the boats finish. Bottom will be graphite.
