New here so might as well post projects :)

I have had a couple messages already asking what I work on.

I am mainly a custom fabrication shop for racing applications. Anything that needs infused I do. I contract all dry work out

I am no body man by anymean but this is the hood that will be on the factory dodge charge drift car. We made a fiberglass hood and molded in the scoop they wanted.

Here is how it sits right now ready for the mold to be layed

Stratus drag car trunk skin mold.

A good majority of work on this touring car was ours. This was from SEMA

We invented something call liquid carbon weave. Here is close-up of it. Makes it look like puddles of water.

I make a ton of fuel pump covers

A roof cap after it was infused

Here we all our at 3am 2 days before opening day of SEMA! Crunch time!!!

Nice stuff!

Lime Green tooling gel coat resin!!! J/k ya…

3am trash before a big show…been there, done that and retired from that!
Ok, not retired from that if I’m racing the next day…

Welcome and thank you for being a great asset to this Composites forum!

yeah my supplier had some green gel coat and I have never seen it before so I picked it up. He has some pink to I will get when this green gets low. I hate the crunch times but that is what needs done!

Man that is very nice, love the water looking carbon you have.

Question on the liquid weave… does the fabric automatically make that look, or are you top coating it with some type of paint/gelcoat? If it is a proprietary technique then I understand if you don’t want to share the info.

Thanks,
Danny

Danny, I see you have an Ebay bid on some of my ROP class’s fiberglass surfboard cloth! If you win it, I’ll try and include some great handouts that I use in the classroom added at no extra charge!

We spray our gel coat a certain way and add a product we came up with to do it. It is all under the surface. The carbon fiber we use for it is readily availible and I can get it anytime. That is why we used it cause we want to get customers to start buying this.

What is the weight of the fabric that is readily available? 2x2 twill is getting stupid in price and is getting harder to come by. Might have to start making my parts out of this too!!!

Thanks GGROP!! I bought some books from you too a while back- never read them though. Just trying to do my part in helping your class out.

Thanks for taking this forum over too. I know we all appreciate it!!!

Here is a good pic one of my customers took of their kevlar fuel pump cover
