New guy here in GA

Hello, I have found myself coming back to the forums here many times over now and thought I should introduce myself. I’m a big car guy and drive a hot rod Subaru WRX and have pulled my trunk off, and googled my way through molding and infusing my first composite part. I absolutely love this stuff. Thanks for the awesome resource.
I have a flawed but successful carbon trunk now! I am working on a second mold as of now!
I would like to eventually start selling parts to some car buddies and made some side money. As of right now I am still dumping money into this hobby, which is ok! I enjoy it.
So thanks in advance for helping me my noobie questions and hope to show off some great work in the future.

Oh also, ever hear of somebody taking an 20 gal air tank with 3 in of water in the bottom, steaming the water with burner, close off the tank, attach vacume lines, take water hose and rapidly cool tank, and pull 28inHg and infuse a part?! Yeah thats what I did. So long!

Clever idea to pull vacuum… just don’t have any leaks

I was quite proud of myself… and yes, leaks are a no go. I have a pump now, so thats one headache removed.

I’m glad you got yourself a vacuum pump now as your other method sounds like a pain in the ***.
