Looking for some insight:

I have a project that I have been doing quite a bit of research on but can’t come up with a feasible technique.

I am trying to make a Carbon Fiber Fishing Net (frame)

Questions:
What kind of mold?
What is the technique for getting a customized round shape?
Could you do a layup job or would it be pre-preg?

Please let me know what you guys think.

Chances are, it would be prepreg wrapped around a foam core, and then placed into a metal 2+ part mold. The mold will compress the material and compact it on the core.

Or like a tennis racket, lot’s of videos on youtube.

Braid around a tube film. The hoop is single braid, the handle is the 2 braids next to each other. In mould, air pressure on the tube film, and you have your part.

Cut apart a tennis racket, that will show how its done.
