Need a job

Boeing in Huntington Beach is hiring, you need to have a good background in composites.

They’ve got a good program there. Have trained quite a few of their Skunworks team in Huntington Beach.

Same Skunworks ( for some reason i thought it was skunkworks lol) that was on NOVA, PBS making the F35 joint strike fighter? How the composites lead guy was so tired and frustrated because the wing had large air bubbles in upon ultrasonic testing… i don’t think they even vacuum bagged the wing from what i could see on the show. Not sayin’ that’s how you train people… i just thought it was interesting they would spend so much time and money on a cf wing and not vacuum bag it.

I thought it was skunkworks too. I guess I was wrong as well.

As for Lockheed no vac bagging their parts that has to be impossible. They use lasers to paint their aircraft to extremely tight tolerances. It would be extremely ridiculous for them not to use consolidation for their composites.

I mean even their painting rig uses CF tubes for it’s structure. They HAVE to use vac bagging or an autoclave or something.

Not sure what program they were on or what was shown, but there’s a reason companies call me when they have problems!
