My Automated Vacuum Pump-Need HELP with SMC Controller Switch

Hello,

This is my new (potentially) automated vacuum pump. I am, however, stumped on the SMC controller. I know guys have brought this up before, but I have posted a video on youtube to show my dilemma and to ask for help. Here you go:

Also, even though the plans are on joewoodworker.com, I can help any one build the press…up to this point

If you wired it like your diagram 120 ac should not be going to the Smc comtroller. Controller should be powered by the 24 dc power source only. Your Smc controller only puts out 12-24 dc only, your relay should be 12-24 dc input, not 120 ac. Your power source will power both controller and relay. Sweet video I a good laugh :).

I see nothing about a relais. You have to lett the vacuumcontroller switch a SSR and the SSR put the power to you vacuumump.

Ssr ,( solid state relay),or electro mechanical are both used for this application.

Thanks guys. So I guess I have the wrong relay? I’ll go over it again this week to see what I come up with. Thanks again.

I finally worked it out. Thanks
