Multiaxial Graphite fiber cloth for sale

I have about 50 yards of Saertex SAERMAX multiaxial graphite. Weight is 19.4oz per sq yd 0.019" thick It is very RARE material, what makes it so special is the the way it’s made. It is two plyes of graphite stitched together that makes for a very strong layup. This dose not make a good looking top ply, it is designed for structural parts and tooling. To find out more about Saertex, visit http://www.saertex.com/index.cfm A roll is 48" wide, so one yard is 12 sq. ft. I’m selling it for $15.00 a yard plus shipping. I’ll try and post a pic.

I’m liking the looks of how they make it.

I’m interested in a yard or two if that is ok. Gotta check my finances first, but i’ll post back how that looks. Does it wet out well with a low viscocity resin do you know?

It wets out super easy, it’s the best cloth for infusion I’ve never had any dry spots with it. Hers’s a link to a pic http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL758/2890339/5831784/138883275.jpg

Hey Joe

If I decide to use something like the Saermax on my boat hull, how readily available is this stuff in N/A? I’m figuring I’d roughly need 40 yrds to do the entire hull from the waterline down.

Rick

Carbon Joe is highly recommended from me!

KB, if you need this, jump on it!

I will definitly take about 10 yards of this stuff. How old is the stock and where are you located???

Wish I could Werks. I’m sitting here waiting for a $1500 repair bill to the outdrive on our boat! sigh It broke first week of our holidays and that was over 7 weeks ago. Mechanic screwed us over big time so I had to go recover it and take it to another shop. I just luv paying for the same repair twice.

I’m sure there are other structural fabrics that’ll work just as well. The 1708 biaxial which is specified by the designer is a great product. We just have to deal with a lot of crap in the river, trees, picnic tables, dead heads etc. A lil’ carbon fiber wouldn’t hurt.

I bought a couple of yards from Joe to test to see what it’s like. I like to have these things in my hands to get a feel for their working properties.

Can i send a money order on Thursday for two yards of this material? Or i can just stuff the cash in an envelope and mail it to you if desired. I’d really like to buy a couple yards.

Thanks, Werksberg! If you need some more please let me know.

KnottyBuoyz, I received your payment and you cloth and samples are on the way.

Fastrr, If you haven’t sent me an email please do so I can figure the shipping.

Shipping to zip code: 21040

PM sent

Thanks

If or when CarbonJoe runs out of this stuff that website says they have a location in North Carolina that sells it. I’d hate to see the retail price on it though.

Evan, Your 20 yards are on the way.
Jeremy, Your 3 yards are on the way.
Matthew, Your 2 yards are on the way.
Danny, Your 10 yards are on the way.

After you receive your cloth please post your opinions about it, good, bad or what ever.

I do have some more but not allot, I’m hoping to get some more next month but I can’t guarantee that the price will be the same.
Thank you to all!!

Package received in good order Joe. Thanks.

The two samples you included, what are they? The real heavy stuff with the yellow tracer and the lighter weight with tracers looks like a twill if I got the name right.

Wracking my brain now for a project to use this stuff on! lol I’m making a prototype articulated rudder in half scale so I will probably use some for that.

Anywho, thanks Joe.

Rick

Got mine. Thanks! This stuff looks very nice. Amazingly supple. Can’t wait to use it!

Cheers,

Ubermotos

Rick,
The heavy cloth is just a heaver version multiaxial cloth and the light cloth is a plane wave 5.8oz. I have about 10 yards of the heavy cloth and about 30 yards of the 5.8oz.

Ubermotos,
Cool, yes it’s super easy to work with.

Hi Joe,

Are you selling some 5.8oz plain weave carbon fiber? Price if i may ask:cool:

I’m not sure, I’ll have to see if I can get some more. I’ll be out of town for the next two weeks, I should know more when I get back.

Thanks,

wow, this is neat stuff, mine arrived today!

Thanks, a lot!!!

just got mine, backside has a real cool look with the stitching! Shipping from Cali to Ontario was hella quick as well. Thanks!
