Moving from PER to Epoxy- any tips?

Hi guys!
I made a plug of a front bumper a while back before this forum was resurrected (posted different questions on the fiberglast forum).

I made a basic mold in PER/glass becuase the plug was literally falling apart.
I have now made a new part in PER/glass that is of course dimensionally stable now being made from composite and not 3" of bondo. I am going to use it to make a proper, multi-piece mold.

However, I’m in a small garage now and the PER smell is just too invasive, so I’m going to start using epoxy.

This is a full front bumper skin, so I need a 1hr working time, but it’s winter so the working temps won’t be very high (will try to keep the garage at 70* though).

So anyways, here are my questions:

-after putting flanges on my new bumper and prepping/polishing in the usual way, can I just use epoxy surface coat in place of gelcoat and carry on as usual?

-Can anyone suggest a resin system? I have a “West System” dealer nearby.

Thanks! I also wanted to mention that I skipped PVA and just used Partall #2 mold wax this time and it worked GREAT!
I also seem to get better at keeping my mess contained with each project. It’s exciting to be getting past ther most miserable part of the learning curve!
Thanks again all!

Thanks! That is a nice site.
This is a great article on wet layup:
