I just finish making a carbon fiber handguard for my rifle. You can’t see it in the picture, but the gel coat is tinted blue.
I used a pretty unorthodox method of vacuum bagging. The part was put in a FoodSaver vacuum bag and sealed with a FoodSaver. But I put this into a pressure chamber we have at work and put in 60 psi. So there was probably 70 psi of pressure on the part.
