I just make 2 small project for a very big car 
I just got a Mini Countryman S…i wish it had a pretty scoop like the normal Cooper S’s. Still looking for things to make carbon
hehehe beleive me you had a lot of work because Mini have many parts to make it carbon
My problem is, I leased the car, not bought. So I have to be VERY careful, or buy extra parts to make molds from. Might be worth it 
Lol. I almost rented a car one day just to make molds.
Btw nice parts. What kind of resin are you making your parts out of? Do you use a gel coat too?
The resin usually for this part is Vinyl and defently I am using gel coat 
The only problem is the mold in the upper side of the scoop is too close and very difficult to put the carbon with strait stripes 
Does it look like you can piece the top layer of carbon or no? Also what kind of gel coat do you use. Do you use the marine clear gel coat?
Nice work, is it a 2 part mold for the scoops? 2 halves bonded together?
Usually I am using Duratec clear gel coat but some times I mixed clear geal coat with basic gel coat.
The Duratec gel coat that has the amber tint to it? That’s good stuff. I have to switch back to it. Why do you mix it with the poly clear gel coat?

I was always scared to mix gel coats… Is it easier to spray? I’m using a2.2mm primer HVLP gun.
I am using 3.5 nose for gelcoat.
Is that a gel coat gun or a regular HVLP spray gun?
Just one usual spray gun that I used for both application, Coat surface and gel coats
How do you mount this? Can you show a pic of the back of the part?
