i have been working on manufacturing fiberglass rifle stocks. hand laminated fiberglass one piece shell, then filled with a resin matrix. question is there any advantage in using 3M ceramic high strength microspheres as opposed to milled glass fiber in the resin to make putty to be placed where compressive strength and stiffness is important.
