mass production here i come

Decided to make a manifold now i can control the resin better and not get any in my vac lines. I`ve mounted it high up on the garage wall. First trials with three molds and it works a treat. It also saves resin. Most of the threaded joints are soldered as i lost a little vacuum but now it holds a perfect vacuum.

lol, looks cool, you must be getting pretty serious now.

That’s sexy, nice work!

Love those flow knobs…any particular kind you use?

Ive been thinking of doing that same thing but I couldnt figure out what kind of valve to use that wouldnt leak air past it.

hybrid, they are full bore gas ball valves. The gauges were £4 each and just needed calibrating a little which i did from my main gauge. It is more useful than i first thought you`ve got finer control when pulling vac, you can crack open the valve and pull a partial vac allowing the bag to be positioned easier without the constant pulling releasing as the pressure pot continues to pull after the vac pump has been closed off. So less chance of getting a hole in the bag. There are obvious advantages, for those who have been doing this a while will know.

The day i took the pic i had three molds on the go two of them held a perfect vacuum with no loss even after 24 hours and the third had a slight loss which required staying in the pressure pot/pump loop untill gel time. All parts came out perfect.

That is really cool. Congrats on the new toy.
