MAS epoxies

I found this great website today, just thought i’d share it with you all. it has some good tutorial videos also.

www.masepoxies.com

Ive heard nothing but good about them. Plus they make a very thin infusion epoxy (3 parts though, instead of 2). Going to try it on my next infusion (whenever that is).

Cool, let us know how it goes:)

Sad but true in this part of the world they (MAS) are too expensive. They may be good but there’s no way I can justify paying a 50% premium to buy a name brand.

I’ve found an e-bay supplier called “Polymer Products” and am going to give their ULV infusion epoxy a try. First test in a few weeks. We’re building a boat so enough epoxy for over 300 sq yrds of heavy biaxial fabrics will suck up quite a bit of juice. Designer says 42gallons in a cold hand lay up. I’m hoping to reduce that to just a tad over 30 by infusion.

Polymer Products seems to carry a pretty wide range of epoxy products and fabrics including tooling epoxies. Note: I have no affiliation with this company just a happy customer.

They are in Ontario, Ca. and I have used their products in the classroom and here too!

Does their epoxy mix dry clear? How flexible or stiff was it? I may have to add them to my “favorite sellers” list.

hmm, all those prices are in Canadian Dollars. What’s the going exchange for C to $?

hey werksberg, or anyone else… any of the polymer products stuff suitable for infusion?

I just used their ULV resin for my first attempt at infusing a flat panel.

It worked as advertised. Long working life +5 hrs and it was over 80 degs in the basement when I did it. Over 24 hrs to demolding. I don’t know if that’s good or bad but for a small part it was a pain. I had never done it before so don’t have any other frame of reference to judge the good or the bad in the product other than it appears to work as advertised. Last time I looked on e-Bay the ULV wasn’t there. Just send them a message.

Ooops here it is

thanks knotty, sounds like a good resin except for the very long gel time! which is a big turn off!

any of you tried to run an infusion with any of the other polymer products resins?
