Making molds with resin infusion

I’m looking at moving towards making my molds through infusion to standardize the methods I employ.

I’d like to know what products are available to use as a surface coat when producing molds through this method. I’ve tried searching for epoxy top coats but I’m always referred to what is basically floor paint!

What does everybody use?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I produce all my mould by infusion. As top coat I use the mould epoxy from HP textiles or the VE tooling gel coat from Lange&Ritter.
If you use the epoxy gelcoat you have to work with a layer of cotton flocks for mechanical bonding to the infusion resin.
If you work with the VE system it is no problem.

All of my infused moulds are made without any gel coat. The mould in this way is much more durable.
Just carbon fabric.
