Machine Carbon Fibre Rod on a lathe

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of any companies that can machine solid carbon fibre rods on a lathe?

I guess many do not like it, as the dust is conductive and will kill anything with a wire.

That is not a way to do a rod. What exactly do you want? Make the rod to spec!! If you NEED TO MACHINE an existing part, to fit something else, either try a lather, or someone with composite working CNC. While lathing will work SOMETIMES, it will not be a perfect finish. I rather shoot for a perfect sized rod as-is, and then do some sanding.

Make the rod to a spec. I realised its not economical to go down this route.
