Helloo people. I was doing an infusion last night, and after i shut the resin feed off, i was left with a bit of resin in the cup… i had ran out of my usual epoxy that i use for wet layup, and had some stuff left in the middle so i thought what the hell… and i used the resin to wet out a couple of layers of 400gsm carbon as reinforcements on the back of a mold. It was really easier to wet the thick carbon fabric, a lot easier than with the other epoxy. I guess it would be harder to use this resin for a full job cause it would be dripping all the time, but still it was fun… anybody else done it?
Whenever I have extra mixed resin, I brush it on molds laying around to add bulk to them.
