Low temp pre preg in Australia?

any one know of a supply of Epoxy prepregs in Australia. i need around 65-70 degrees max. i want to supply the fabric if possible…

Call GMS composites in Victoria they make prepreg. I dare say you’ll have to do a full roll.

yes they have a 80 degree listed on their site… I’m looking for much lower… I’m hoping to get 5000m at a time…

We deal with GMS and we are looking to get some low temp tooling pre preg and they say they have something that will do the job. (my boss is dealing with it and he’s away so I don’t know the details).

Contact them, we have found that they are very helpful and small enough to develop materials for customers.

Right I’ve got the info now. The low temp pre preg from GMS is EP-250. It can be cured as low as 55degC for 1000hrs and then post cured free standing up to 200degC giving a tg of 180 to 200. Or at the lower temps the Tg’s are:

48hrs @ 55C - Tg = 60C
24hrs @ 65C - Tg = 80C

yep, i had a talk to the guys, we will be trying out the 70 degree one. the tooling one has to be post cured at 200… our max temp for the job is 75 degrees… after that other components in our mix rapidly detiorate

You can also get Umeco/ACG pre pregs from Lavender composites in QLD. The VTM resin system is 65C cure min.

This stuff is a better quality than GMS but costs more. Faster cure too.

The VTM is pre pregged in England so they can’t do this with your material but GMS probably could.

I’ve been using the higher temp from Lavender for a while and it is good product, Rudy is easy to work with.
