I hope you will get the pump for small money, as they are freaking expensive. Basicly 20x the price of a Chinese pump…
I too am looking for a vacuum pump, I want it for resin infusion but I’m not sure how much they should cost. I can get ones on ebay for around €100 but you probably get what you pay for, last thing I want is a pump to fail during an infusion.
I can’t yet attach files so I will provide the links to the datafiles:

Price for the EM4 is about €550
Price for the EM20 is about €750

Price for the R5 PB 0004 is about €400
Can someone compare these prices to what they paid for any similar pumps as I have no idea if these prices are reasonable? All I need is the 4m3 per hour (2.35CFM) but the 20m3 (11.77CFM) seem not that much extra and could be worth buying for future capacity if ever needed.
Thanks for any help that can be offered. Sorry for hijacking this thread but it has a good title.
The pumps you suggest all perform equally well, with exception of the EM4, which does not have a check valve. Which means that if the pump is turned off, it will possibly run backwards due to the pressure difference, filling the vacuum hose with oil. All other EM pumps have the check valve.
In your situation I would see if I could source a nice tank (broken compressor, car LNG tank, butagas tank, or similar) and install the new pump on that. In that case the EM20 would be nice to have. Also install a relay switch, and a pressure switch. The Danfoss RT121, although expensive, works well. I am working on a new switch, which should perform equally well, but is less than half in price, but have no idea on the status as I am still on holiday. (will check on monday if I do not forget).
This way you will keep vacuum between certain levels, without the pump running too much (saves dollars and noise). Do not forget to include a filter. These should be inexpensive (30 euro or so) but save your pump from eating fibers.
I have installed a lot of PVR pumps, they have not let me down. The guys from Busch have visited me once, but I am still waiting for a quote.
Hi guys I got a used fully tested unit (a D2A (2.2CFM) and not the D4A (4.5CFM) mentioned above) for 300 $ + shipping. Will just have to manage with slightly less CFM
Thanks for the infos
