Little scratches on clear

Hey guys, I cant go through this thing, after coating i use 2000p sand paper to cut of “little issues” then i go 2500 then polish with sponge , and after that I always get/see quiet depth randomly set scratches…

Anyone has same problem? It not about clear because on gelcoat is the same story…

Maybe try using a polishing compound.

I already use polishing compound, tested farecla and menzerna, and still have this issue

I always use a 3M Trizact pad before moving on to compounds. It seems to zap those sanding scratches quickly.

3M hand glaze works great. After polishing wipe a thin layer on, wait 15 mins, hand buff off with a clean cotton cloth.

Those random scratches indicate the compound is not matched with the sanding grit (too low grit, or too fine polish)

I use the Farecla Profile line (200-300-500) which are able to buff out grit 800 scratches (Farecla 200). I must admit this is done with a machine, and a wool pad, which is quite aggressive (much more than sponges)

For this material see http://www.slimmerschuren.nl/polijstmiddelen-farecla/farecla-polijstmiddel-voor-polyester-boten which is for polyester.

For automotive paints use the G series. http://www.slimmerschuren.nl/polijstmiddelen-farecla/farecla-voor-autolakken

When doing hand polishing, make sure you go finer. Also a guide coat can be very beneficial. It show how much you NEED to sand, but also it is very assuring, as you never sand TOO much. http://www.slimmerschuren.nl/mirka-schuurpapier/controlepoeder.html
