License plate frame - In black carbon with red tinsle

I made some license plate frame today but i used some plain weave carbon that has red tinsle in it. The finished product came out awesome!

The tinsle is red one way and silver the other

Here is a picture of it in the sun. It shimers like crazy!

Where can an everyday person get this fabric???

I only had one square ft of it, I am tring to find a supplier

I like it!! Im sure ive got a sample somewhere with one red line in the fabric but i guess more is better in this case :smiley:

(im actually a big fan of plain weave fabric but never seen a part made from it yet (spot the newb lol)

I tried red 2x2 it looked like a real neat bright fabric but when i pulled the part it looked dark like burgandy

yeah, this is a tinsle, that fabric goes horizontal and the tensle goes verticle. There is no verticle carbon, so where the fabric breaks is where you see the red.
