half way through overlaying my wooden interior on my soarer(sc400),its going pretty well so far
good job man!!! Everything looks good
Looks good, nice smooth finish. Are you bagging and then applying clear?
neither, just brushing surfboard resin on and with a wax final layer then sanding and buffing.
Ah, ok. It’s just that the dull parts seemed to have a peel ply texture on them.
In that case, I’d highly recommend Duratec clear. Can be sprayed on pretty thick, and self-levels better than normal resin. Polishes to a high gloss easily.
If you need more carbon fiber, let me know.
I have it for sale on eBay under MSM_Industries Just search for me under the “Community” tab, if you are interested.
all done
NICE!
MY wifes Rodeo has a black and grey interior but around the radio is a single panel that is fake wood grain…but she told me she would hang me by you know what If I CF overlay that panel!
Did you put down a layer of Silmar 249 resin on the stock plastic trim and then put the Cf on that when it get tacky?
Cheers,
Roy
yes but with a black tint.finushed another 3 sets yesterday
Last time I tried to stick CF to my stock Toyota trim peice, it did not stick well.
My mistakes were :
1/. I did not roughen the sutface of the trim piece well.
2/. I did not put down a layer of the Silmar resin o the trim peice before I laid the CF.
I will try it again…
Thanks,
Roy
…keep at it and read my by line!
