Left over carbon

Howdy guys i have a ton of carbon cloth that i have been saving because they are scraps and are about 10" but in all kinds of shapes, i was wondering if i could throw them all together and make a Splitter or something out of it? i know its not gonna be astetically pleasing but will it be strong and worth doing? i was just gonna used a bunch of VE that i have left over.

Thank you!

Absolutely ! Use it. It c an always act as additional reinforcement on the backside of the part in needed zones.

Why not you can always paint it if you dont like the way it looks.

might have warpage issues, but as long as you can shove it in a mold.
Or, make a round disk mold, and make cup coasters. You can mill out a nice logo as well in the mold

Well wh i was gonna use it for is a splitter or even a dam for the radiator for my road race car. it will just be a flat panel so i know the side down would be flat but i think the side up would be a bit wavey

Lay the tow/weave as it would be if continuous, then the next layer opposing etc as usual. The cloth does not know its been cut, if you know what I mean ?

It will be a good exercise in CF repair techniques you’ll find.
