Leaving molds to dry/cure?

Hello people. i’ve had a thought… i have just taken a mould off the plug, its been on for two days… i know resins are supposed to be fully cured in a week (plus the weather is really cold here)

would it make a difference in the ease of demoulding if i let the mold “sit” for a few days more? or it will just be stronger in a few days? i use the meguiar’s wax as a release agent (#8)

This was a reocurring arguement with me an my old boss. I wanted to wait 5 days, he always wanted to demold the next day. Ive ran into a lot of problems trying to demold early.

A buddy of mine, and friend of the shop, made this comment about it: “You guys never have enough time to do it right, but for some reason you always have anough time to make repairs”.

actually my question is about the time after you take the NEW mould off the plug, to start producing items

One of the deck molds I build, I set aside and left on the plug for almost 2 years. BEST mold I ever built.

Hahaha ok thats a bit too much. I might start making wine instead
