Layup in stages or all at once

So in this application it’s a serious pain in the ass to bag, so in the past I’ve had great results using teflon coated fiberglass for compression wrapping. My question is which would yeild the best result… Laying and wrapping each layer. Allow to cure and repeat, or layup the 5 layers and compression wrap once. I’m thinking one by one would yeild the best result.

A little test would yield a lot of info.

Very true.
Will the bond with each layer on the step by step method be as stong as the all at once method?

If your first, getting the carbon wrapped as tight as possible … Then I’d think the added pressure of the tape would be minimal.
Testing both ways with good, repeatable techniques will always answer your questions.

Like they say… A picture is worth a thousand words. So I’m laying the carbon on the pipe and using the teflon coated fiberglass to compress it down against the pipe. I’m thinking I will pull the teflon when it’s tacky but not fully cured and repeat the steps. The tackiness will help hold the carbon in place before I wet it out.
