layup / cutting table tops

Looking for feedback on the best material to use for a prepreg / adhseive cutting table top. I have tried several plastics , formica, and a so called self healing product. All have their pros and cons. Any thoughts ??

Polyethylene sheet. I’ve used metal too, but that’s not good for the lifespan of you blades. Nothing sticks to pe

Quite expensive though…

I’ve used olfa self healing mats in the past. They stand up very well.

You just can’t get nothing better than good old glass.

its what’s used in the graphics/printing companies where you need to do a lot of material cutting with stanley knifes.
It can be a bit expensive, but it last forever.
To hold it in place on top of your bench, use some floor carpet.
