How do you do an overlay like this? I can do overlays on parts that have a simple shape. But how do you get it to comform to a shape like this? Any help would be appreciated

This parts on ebay, that may be why it looks familiar??? Im not wanting to make this specific part, I would just like to know how they got the fabric to go into the vent holes like that. Would bagging do it?
Yes it was bagged. I know because I made it, 2 years ago.
now im confused… :? first i read that you basically glue the dry carbon to the part and then apply 3 coats of resin… now i read that you vacuum bag it,hmmm,vac bagging is no problem but surely if you do that with peel ply and breather you will end up with the matt finish that you get with molded parts? can you then apply resin over this and get the proper carbon ‘look’ :?
