Maybe it’ll get cheaper?
Hmm, does this mean us small manufacturers will get our Kevlar fabric for next to nothing now?
I highly doubt the price will drop, probally just stay more stable. Atleast kevlar isnt nearly as exspensive as carbon
Its one of the cloths i shall be using once i get this unit sorted out.
Does kevlar infuse just like carbon?
all the high shear strength cloths I have used SUCK to work with…Kevlar spectra…they’re hard to cut and difficult to wet out. Once figured out they are less of a pain.
it basically infuses the same, basically the tighter the weave the slower the resin will travel. I have infused plain wooven kevlar with out a problem, twills and satin should infuse better because the weave isnt as tight.
ok
makes sense when someone tells you.
i was just wondering if, with kevlar being a more “corse” cloth that it would take longer to infuse.
Should of relised that it comes down to the tightness of the weave rather than the material itself (to a set degree anyway)
