Kevlar Changing colour

I’ve noticed where it’s exposed to light, my Kevlar darkens in colour. Does anyone know what causes this and does it hurt the Kevlar?

Like many synthetic materials, kevlar deteriorates when exposed to UV rays. It starts to look a darker yellow after time. I would only imagine that the mechanical properties of the material also go down with UV exposure.
Not sure if the dyed kevlar hybrid fabric also degrade as much or at all. I’d recommend using a pigment in your resin, or just not using it in the surface ply. If you insist on making it visible, perhaps a urethane clear coat will protect it.

I have a Carbon\blue kevlar bonnet on my car and that has faded a lot over about 2 years. Though I think it looks better as it is now - not so bright and in your face.
