Kevlar/carbon hybrid material?

Wonder if anyone knows a source of kevlar/carbon hybrid materials? Here in Europe it was made in Italy but lack of demand meant production ceased.

Seems to me products made from this may very well be good sellers, as carbon and silver Eglass both seem to have been done to death!

The through is that I have over 35m of Silver and 25m of Carbon kevlar in stock, so if you want I can help you.

I heard dupont was to do away with the colored kevlar…dont know if its true but thats what I heard.

I wonder if is because of the color changes after making the part? I have never played with this stuff…yet…

I know the yellow turns green, I was not very happy with that.

Anyone know for sure if the other colours are not stable? If so then maybe thats the reason why this product is no longer made?

alot of the color changes has to do with the resin you use, to get the least amount of change in color you would want to use crystal clear resin. mostly they just darken up. I found that yellow changed the least for me, red went to a dark bloody red, but still looked good. and blue darkened up a little.

Here you go and they will sell you samples. http://www.carrreinforcements.com/

Well i never i just checked the link and it would appear theyve stopped doing it. Ill just have to drag out me samples once in a while to remind myself what it looks like lol

Apparently its no longer made…seems a shame as I feel carbon and Eglass has been done to death!

looks like this place is still selling it, I bought from this place 4 years ago, havent since. there prices are exspensive, but they have it www.carb.com

Im assuming that the rumor I heard is true?

That sucks. You know I dont think that Dupont is the only aramid manufacturer…maybe just maybe someone else will step up.

I know that Soller Composites is working on Dyeing glass or something but I never heard back from John about his progress on becoming his own weaver.
