jumping back in.... need advice

It’s been a couple years since I made parts. I was working with poly only at that time but due to my fondness of texallium I have always had drama with any bridging and getting a tiny line of tint from the resin. Any of you that have worked with it know my troubles.

Now I wanna get into some parts but I’m still wanting to do some texallium since I have a full role of it. Back then it was hard to find good infusible epoxy but now it sounds like it’s not so bad.

I need some recommendations… I want some poly gelcoat for its UV stability but I need crystal clear infusible resin.

What products am I looking at these days?

Add your location to your profile, that makes it a lot easier to recommend something.

Southwest US.

I always end up shipping into my state. So Conti US

Anyone for this guy? I am not familiar with the USA manufacturers.

Yeah I’m kind of bummed. Not a lot of sharing like the old days.

I like using my poly gelcoat but I always had problems with it being a little brittle on the edges. Not sure why. I think texalium doesn’t flow resin well. That being said I’m hoping I can find some really thin poly or epoxy that wets out well. That and that mdi (?) Hose may save me.

Just not sure what to use, and its compatibilities.

do you need a poly gel coat as well as an epoxy infusible resin or are you looking for a poly infusible?

Sorry, I only know epoxies. Endurance systems from Composites Polymer Design, such as the 450x series are nice and clear. Slight blue haze, but only in thick resin areas (resin cup left over, etc).
And I got nuttin on UV stabilization info. Most outdoor stuff I use is prepregs from AGC, Newport, and Cytec.

you can try resin services. I know they have a line of infusable resins there a helpful group of people. ive never used there infusable resins before but i have used there epoxies in the past and have always like them
