It's official....

It’s official, after 14+ years of running the GGROP Plastics and composites class, this is the last semester which ends Feb 1st or so.

I tried very hard to keep the program going and had a replacement teacher lined up but they had already planning to shut it down come June, but wasn’t going to tell me!

They want to make my room (ok, their room now…) into an Engineering classroom but when the students can’t even read a measurement ruler…!

But I’ll be keeping this forum going, maybe finally getting around to adding many more features and possible a pay per view section with my own “step by step” tutorials and many more inside composites tricks too.

Sorry to hear that, but you are more then welcome to come up north and teach here, I’m sure that there would be interested parties.

The new site ideas sound good, would be very useful.

Please do keep the forum going…this place is great and there are more than a few of us that have made friends cause of the board.

Maybe make some videos for sale?

you guys going to be selling materials and equipment

DT…I’m trying to get that answered but myself and my other current and former adult students have first rights! LOL!

I am sorry for the young people trying to learn a craft from you has to come to an end. The present and future of composites is strong and getting stronger with no end in site and it’s people like you that the folks can rely on. I hope you can continue being an educator in one form or another.

Thank you and the program was free to adults and high school students…

I doubt I’d like to start a new program up from scratch again, but I might be selling the home here in the OC and moving to so. Mo. or eastern Tenn. areas…?

sorry to hear about the course coming to an end. i can vouch for so many of the rest of us in that ive learned soo much from this site and am willing to be taught sooo much more…

good news for myself: as of april 2nd '07 i will be attenting pittsburg institute of aeronautics and at the end of my studies i wiil have the chance to build damage and rebuild various carbon/kevlar components

but if by chance you do end up somewhere out here on the east end of things i would love to learn what you know.

Thank you and I’m not planning to give this forum up but…got to make money from my time…then again, the family has been in this same house for 53+ years now. Can you guess the amount of eBaying and garage sales ahead of me?:eek:

Please, list that Composites school website or address so I can add it to my school listings thread.

Never give up learning, I’m still learning myself too!

I’m glad to have been able to attend one semester of the class! It’s a damn shame…

Thanks Rez…just think of what we could have done in a full year instead of your 1 month!

Boy, thanks and did we have fun on last Sat.!
