exactly! Hexcel I think has a tooling prepreg of 3" chopped strips. Lay it up in general shape, machine, and surface coat. CTE matching tooling!
It’s an outsourced project. We are cutting and testing “T, OHT and OHC”…they are beautiful though!
add about an inch of resin on top and call it a bartop… 
…if you are making a bar top…also add in color LEDs too!
bartops! ha! I’ve been wanting to do that for ages now. Not this material, but that would be awesome.
Maybe a mix of CF/non-clearing fibers/kevlar or even tows, would be neat.
