To switch from a mold that has no flanges and make into a mold with flanges? i dont think so … =(

ive thought about this before,not sure its possible…put a pic of the mold in question up.
I’ve done this a few times. I basically use sheet wax or clay and build it out from the face of the mold so that it is perfectly flush with the edge of the mold surface. Then I brush or spray the gelcoat from the backside and lay up csm on top of it. It actually comes out quite nice.

It’s generally not worth the trouble. May be viable for making a one-off from a mold you already have though. It’s not too difficult, just have to work from the back side to blend it smoothly.
