I know you’re supposed to use some type of barrier between carbon and metal but what would you recommend? I know people use fiberglass but does fiberglass or Kevlar veil work? And is one layer of veil enough?
Either will work fine. The point is that carbon is conductive and electrochemically very noble, so it will always be the cathode when in direct contact with any metal. You can therefore use any material that isn’t conductive to break that link, which qualifies both fibreglass and Kevlar. So that choice comes down to you and what you need - fibreglass is cheaper, so it’s the obvious choice.
