Infusion without flow fabric?

I constantly have problems removing the flow fabric when making anything with resin infusion and especially when the part has steep curves. Maybe it is this specific flow fabric that is the problem but i wonder if anyone has ever tried to make any part without using flow fabric at all, i.e.
1)carbon/fiberglass layers
2)peel ply
3)vacuum film

I am going to make a test in a small part but i ask just in case this method is totally wrong. Thanks anyway.

Use a perforated film between peel ply and flow media.

Will the resin reach all the parts of the fabric by using a perforated film?
What’s wrong by using only peel-ply?

The infused flow media is very stiff, at least in combination with peel ply. So it is very hard to get it off together. You can try a coated peel ply, but I prefer a perforated film. You can see it in the video.
Use a erforated film with holes at aboit every 7mm, than there should be no problems.

I too have slight difficulty trying to release the green flow media.

As discussed with Dominik, if I dont use flow media my part becomes dry.

‘Stuck in the middle’ comes to mind

Either switch to another peelply that has better release, or try infusion perforated (not sure of what number)film.

I told that already many times, but sometimes I feel like a screaming man in the desert…

Getting the infusion mesh off can be a real pig. Perf film helps in that respect.

My favorite is a MP22 styled film by Airtech, which has 0,4mm holes every 2,5mm, and is some 2,8% open.

Another favorite is Fibertex Compoflex, which is even more easy to remove than perf film. They have different variations, suitable for secondary bonding (peelply surface) and even with bleeder or infusion mesh fused to it. Really great stuff. And removing it is so easy. It is like it is not adhered to the part at all.
