INFUSION: one 5.7oz carbon and two 19.7oz

hey guys, i have been around for couple years and i would like to ask a question about infusion of 1 layer 5.7oz 2x2 twill and 2 layers of 19.7oz 2x2 twill.
I am making a hood.

Before i am going to waste the materials, i just wondering, will i be able to infuse that thickness of material without using any core in between?

My pump pulls only 24-25Hg of vacuum.

Your pump is the problem, not the material.

Indeed I would like to see a deeper vacuum, to prevent pinhole problems. (very likely in 5.7oz stuff)

Perhaps add a Lantor Soric core, to improve stiffness of the bonnet. (which is what a hood is called in the Commonwealth… :))
