Im still lurking around... got a question for Evan though.

So my car got out of hand with modifying and im at the point now where the car is full blown show and now getting a lot of go… enough that its no longer street legal. So now I have massive amounts of machinery and power under the hood that has to be shown off, but I want it something spectacular too. So was thinking… Evan, can you wrap aluminum and stainless steel piping in carbon fiber, and put it in an autoclave so that the c/f will withstand underhood temps? How much time would it take you to do? Up for the task!!!

Is this for an intake pipe?

The three yellow arrows, those 2.5" pipes are what id like to get wrapped.

Why wrap it when you can replace it? Engine heat is hot but the pipes aren’t touching anything directly that is hot. Ambience temp is still a lot lower than the actual engine temp. Anyway, do you have any close up shot of the blow off valve? near the LCD screen there?

Evan

The only reason I was thinking overlay was for the cost factor. There is one other group of enthusiasts out there that are working on carbon fiber turbo piping but arent expecting them to release for over 6 more months. I was thinking keep it simple since my purpose was to add just a tad more style to the already functional system. If you think doing the piping straight C/F can be within the ballpark of overlay, then we can explore that option.

Unfortunatly, this is the best I have for photos right now, as far as the BOV goes.

Email me and let me know what your budget is for this project. If it’s doable I’ll do it, other than that I don’t want to wrap it.

Sent you an email, but im thinking the email function on here may not be working?

Here are the photos of the pipes being made by some c/f enthusiasts…

That’s not bad

pretty darn good for enthusiasts! Teach me how Evan.

lol sure just give me a call

Well after more investigation on these other pipes that are turning up, its made by a kid and his neighbor who happens to make c/f parts for F1 cars.

Im working on getting 4 more people interested, Evan.

Take your time. I’m booked to next month anyway
