I had ordered sample pack for hybrid kevlars from composite envisions few weeks ago and this is the results after simple infusion. My favorite one is the dual twill yellow carbon kevlar and the worst one is the blue kevlar hybrid because after infusion the blue kevlar becomes really dark. However, not the best experience with compositeenvisions.com so far…
What type of resin did you use?
I have always found that both the blue and red coloured hybridsa are darker once impregnated with resin. I think it is for the same reason as your blue bath towel looks darker when it is wet than when it is dry! its just a fact of life!
i have always favored the blue hybrid myself, i like the fact that it is not overpowering with color till the light hits it. I love to see car hoods and pieces for boats made out of it.
I’m quite fond of the blue too, and often try to get customers to try hybrid fabrics.
I like the samples, I think the main reason some shy away from the color is because they can’t quite imagine how it would look.

It’s a molded piece, done with a simple compression mold.
