how to make cf look glossy

ok i made a mold and made a copy of the eye with cf but the problem is it doesnt seem to be that much resin on it wen i pop it out of the mold only the underside has a good amount of resin , how can i make it so that the top of the cf will have alot of resin and look glossy without much sanding? and no i;n not useing any pumps or anytihing like that . thanks in advance. by the way i’'m a newbie at this

How many layers of resin do you have on?

i have about 2 layer but thick layers

What type of resin, brand and did you apply resin first before laying the cloth down?

what look are you really looking for? if you want a deep look you need to add gel coat or clear coat, or even a top coat if that makes sense?

o ok i didnt lay resin before the cloth i just layed the cloth then resin , yea i’m trying to achive the deep clear look thanks for all the helpo guys.

LOTS oF RESIN

Hard to pull of without having a gelcoat preapplied to the mold first. No matter how nice you lay it up the mold side is always going to have dry spots. Not neccessarily porous, but dry nonetheless.

 I couldn’t count the number of parts I was throwing in the trash due to dry spots. It’s inevitable.

mian reason I bag everything now!

Being a complete novice, I´ve done quite some reading on different boards (thanks guys for the wondurfull parts/posts)
I Understand that the side of the cf part being laid down in the mold will be glossy if the mold has been treated right, but how do you get both sides of the cf part to be glossy? sanding and buffing or is there something else to it.

something like this

or a spoiler to be glossy all around
