How to do this.. 2 pieces , aligning

Hey guys at first sorry for non titled but didnt know how to call this problem… anyway this is a car front fender.

How they made this fastening which is black on the photo.

I believe there was firstly made the “face” of fender and then fastening was glued… but how?

I see the problem on properly positioned fastener while gluing with face of fender. I believe specific mould must be done at very start of process?

Anyone went through such stuff?

PIC:

I think you will find they have done a 2-part mould there, one on the outer surface of the fender and then one on the inner surface of the fender. Then each part is individually layed up before the two are then bonded together using the moulds to locate them.

They could have also done a two part mold and make the fender/part as a one piece. That is how I have tackled this issue in the past, I just have two small mold sections that I remove from the top (hood to fender bracket) and the side (fender to door attachment), and then the part is done. I like doing it that way because it assures proper alignment, and I don’t have another day of allowing the brackets to cure (epoxy, 24 hours) to the part.

Wildcard can you tell me some more about this solution , I didnt get this part "

or maybe any photos?

It’s just a multipiece mold. Let’s say it is made up of 3 mold sections: main fender, top bracket (fender to hood) , and side bracket (fender to door). The two bracket sections are small molds that can easily be removed once the part is out of the bag. Once they are removed, the fender is easy to pop out of the mold.
