How to calculate CF Sandwich thickness?

Does anyone know how to calculate the desired “thickness” of the honeycomb/distance from neutral axis for a desired yield strength?

Is using the basic deflection formula valid for carbon fiber along with the appropriate variables? I’m hoping to be able to find the young’s modulus for a quasi-isotropic CF sheet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

This formula is good basis for determining the deflection materials that deflect linearly. Unless you need precise measurements you can treat the core like it has no resistance to deformation (zero young’s modulus) and just vary the stiffness of your fiber and thickness of the core to meet your design requirements.
