… using a tongue depresser to spread resin:rolleyes:

… using oem parts to lay up on instead of an actuall mold:rolleyes:

I see one guy laying up a seat cowl but the mold is made all wrong.

Good demonstration of what not to do.

I cant believe I just waisted 5 min of my life… funny though

I think you need to be aware of what the situtation was there before passing judgement too harshly. Chris was simply trying to spread some knowledge to people who had no prior composite knowledge whatsoever, but had expressed some interest on the BARF.

He’s actually a pretty talented guy, the blue SV650 at the start of the video, he made the tank for that bike (and others) himself, and has done a lot of other bits and pieces. He’s not a professional, but then he doesn’t profess to be either.

Given that it was his work (well him and John Britten) that inspired me to give it a go, which was basically the point of the video, I do feel that the video made it’s point (which is basically that anyone with sufficient motivation can make a few trinkets for their motorcycle) well.

edit… nevermind…
