I have these consoles i make and I’m trying to get an idea of how much time it would take you to prep the mold, lay it up, then demold and then trim, sand, and glue together both halves to make a whole part?
Here is the part. I’m doing this to judge my time i’m spending and if it is taking too many man hours to make one. I’m trying to get faster at making parts, without sacrificing quality.
Perhaps you guys could post up some production ideas on how you make things move more quickly at your shop?
Staging materials? I’m not into using polyester resin or gel coat. We wet lay up-vacuum bag or infuse parts. With as many molds as we have RTM isn’t an option ( retooling costs too high).
