Just curious as to what others are doing to finish the back side of their carbon parts if anything.
I was just leaving mine unfinished after removing the peelply but I have seem some with a black dull finish of some sort. Really looks professional.
Most pre preg autoclaved parts Are release film finished
Some companies that produce what they call “Carbon fiber Parts” typically are using the first layer as CF and the remaining layers Fiberglass. A white-ish color back side doesnt look so good so they spray the back side with black dull finish.
I prefer seeing the back side, seeing a nice carbon part having a nice carbon back side i think looks better in my opinion. My back side is usually a peel ply finish or a release film finish.
