How do I charge for exclusivity

I made a few pieces of CF for a jeweler, and they want me to only supply them exclusively. (eg. no other jewelers)

How does one charge for that? I would like to be compensated more due to the fact that I will inevitably sell less.

Any ideas welcome.

Work out what you need money wise per month and ask for a minimum order per month to cover that. Or ask for a retainer fee. It’s not an easy issue to sort out.

This more an “art” question than a composite question, which does not matter.

My view on the situation:

When I look at prices of templates for websites: (I took a random template)

It seems that prices multiply by 15 or so. However, software is something that duplicates easily.

Perhaps also ask this on art forums.

A large part of pricing a new product is perceived value. That very first feeling of what you think the item is worth upon seeing it. That said, you need at least five times your cost just to stay in business. Then double that to make all the work worth it to you. Has that exceeded it’s perceived value?

Yeah, don’t do it. Here is my example. I have a client that wants me to be exclusive to him with Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Range Rover, Rolls, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, and Bentley. If I sign a non compete / non disclosure / exclusive contract, then I might as well get a job at Mcdonalds. He will order maybe 10 parts a month from me at a value of $8000. I can sell double to dealers across America while I eat breakfast.

Be careful!
